Orange blanket is done!

Good morning everyone!  It is Wednesday, and we are Yarning Along with Ginny and joining in with Tami's Amis' Work in Progress  and Ambassador Crochet today!

And I finished my son's blanket!!

As you can see, as per his choosing, it was made from a Red Heart fiber called "Pumpkin".  Frankly, to me, it looks at whole lot closer to "Vermont Deer Season Hunter Orange".

My son loves it ;)

I wish I had more "irons in the fire", but with the ending of the holiday season and that start of tax season, I just don't have it in me right now.  So....I am off to do some blog hopping for some inspiration!

Want to join me?  Head on over to Ginny's, Tami's, and Ambassador's Crochet other interesting ventures into fiber fun.

  3. It's really nice...I bet your little man loves it! I love how you describe the color as VT deer hunting season ORANGE. Nice new pic atop of all your chickens! You have such a beautiful variety!!!

  4. Yay for a finished blanket! I'm sure your son loves it. Your pic must not show how bright the orange is. I was thinking more neon color :)

  5. The color looks like a soft pumpkin to me - must be more muted for us!
    Congratulations on finishing it!

  6. Be sure to cast on something to get you through the tax season crazyness. Be there, done that. Have the grey hairs to prove it! ;-)

  7. It looks pumpkin to me, not hunter orange! I dig it. And I love the texture/pattern, too.

  8. Yeah, it pretty much looks like Wisconsin deer hunter, too, but as long as he loves it and you don't have to look at it all the time - double win!

  10. You ought to suggest that name to Red Heart -- I love it, though you could substitute New York for Vermont. Pat on the back for a great finish.

  11. I know my son would love it too- one of his favourite colours is orange. I think it looks lovely and cozy, and I am sure your son cherishes it :)

  12. Yay! Looks great. I'm not a fan of orange, but I can handle hunting orange. And, as long as he loves it, that's all that really matters. Thanks for sharing on my WIP Wednesday.

And I'm impressed with your square corners. Every giant granny I've done has come out a bit wonky! :-(
