Good morning everyone! It is Wednesday, and we are Yarning Along with Ginny and joining in with Tami's Amis' Work in Progress and Ambassador Crochet today!
It has been a productive couple of days.
On Friday, I was at a tax conference...which was quite a fun time...and as a result, I finished the teal shawl, and added some length to the emerald green shawl (which I had previously thought to be done....but obviously changed my mind...;) ).
And then, I was at another tax conference on Tuesday. Not quite as much fun as Friday (honestly, Friday's presenter was so good, I think most others will pale in comparision for quite some time....), but just as productive, craft-wise. 'Cause, lo and behold!, I was able to make another teal shawl! Using the fishnet stitch was great - it really helped it all come together speedy quick!
After the conference, I indulged and finally stopped by the local library....I have quite the stash to hold me for a few weeks. In particular I am loving the Friday Night Knitting Club. 6 pages in and I was sold. Hook, line, and sinker. I mean, has everyone already read this? Am I late to the party? It is fantastic!!!
And, as an added bonus, I have been able to sink a bit more into the book I am reading via BookSneeze. It is getting quite good, now that I am getting the hang of the story line :)

Well, that is all on this end :) Head on over to Ginny's, Tami's, and Ambassador's Crochet other interesting ventures into fiber and literary fun.
I will see you there!
I have read the knitting book, and loved it!!
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is gorgeous too
I think I better get me to some tax conferences! I might make some progress on my knitting...
ReplyDeleteI wish I could knit at conferences! I would never have expected to hear such a positive review of a tax conference though ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty late to the party and still haven't read the knitting club book
Loved the Friday Night Knit Club - great shawl!
ReplyDeleteYes...I read that book and LOVED it. I want to have a Friday Night Knit Club, too. This Yarn Along is good, though, but we don't get into the details and problems of our social lives, which is therapeutic...
ReplyDeleteI loved the Friday night knitting club when I read it years ago :)
ReplyDeleteI am impressed - I could never concentrate on a conference and a yarn project at the same time!
ReplyDeleteLove the shawl!
Blessings
Karen
I have stared at that Friday Night Knitting Club book many a time but never picked it up, maybe I need to!!
ReplyDeleteYou'll enjoy Friday Nigh Knitting Club, I did. Posted about it a few months back...won't give anything away though. Love the teal color you're using for your shawl, have always loved the darker shades of teal. Thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteI can see that you don't like to waste time! (tho I don't mean to imply that tax conferences are a waste of time!)
